Amelia turns 1!
I can hardly believe Amelia is already one year old. Seems like she was just born. We had cake and ice cream with the Layton family at grandma and grandpas house. The cake was covered with flowers because I was trying to hide the large chunk that Isaac had taken out earlier in the day. Amelia loved eating cake and ice cream. I think she had three pieces, we let her because hey, your only one once. Isaac ran around yelling "happy day mi mi". He waited all week anticipating "happy cake" (as all deserts are called) and blowing out the candles. He loves it.
We went to the zoo as a family to celebrate. It was a great day.

flour girl
Oh, the joys of having toddlers. I went downstairs for about five minutes the other day and left Isaac and Amelia watching a video. When I came upstairs this is what I found. The pictures really do not do this justice. Amelia had so much flour on her that I had to wash her hair twice and then comb through it because there were dough clumps. Her eyelashes, brows and ears were covered. I can only imagine that this happened because Isaac was throwing flour at her (I've seen him do it before). He seems to think it is a very fun game. Look what you all have to look forward to.
After much harrasment from mom and dad we finally created a blog. I'm excited to start sharing events from our childrens lives. This will give me a chance to keep up with the growth of my kids. Poor Amelia has far fewer photos of herself than Isaac (everyone said that would happen and I didn't believe it) and she seems to be jumping from one mile-stone to the next with little or no recogniztion. I know I'm a neglectful mother. I'm working on it though.
