We've had an eventful start to June. Bretts youngest brother Wade got married on June 1st, which is also Isaacs birthday. With all the wedding events happening we bumped Isaacs birthday celebrations to Sunday. We spent the night of the 1st in Cardston Alberta because I had a young womens temple trip to attend the next day. So, we asked Isaac if he wanted to get Ice cream that night and he said he wanted a milk shake. We took a very short (maybe three blocks)drive down main street and found this little ice cream/ pizza parlour. It was awsome. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through. Apparently it was rated in the top 20 pizzas in the world by AMA(triple A). It was yummy and the milkshakes were awsome and huge. (Oh, this is so typical Gilbert isn't it, explain a trip through food) I did find it worth mentioning though. Isaac loved it and drank most of his huge shake and Amelia cleaned up after everyone, which is her job, finishing everyones food.

The wedding was lovely. Brett's grandfather performed the sealing (he was the one who married us) and it was beautiful. Isaac and Amelia looked darling in their new wedding clothes. They also enjoyed the horse drawn carriage rides around the temple. It was a nice day.

On Sunday I rushed home and made a cake for Isaac. I enjoy making the kids birthday cakes and Isaac had been asking for a football cake for weeks. He didn't ask for anything else, just a foootball so I made one as fast as possible on Sunday afternoon. Needless to say Isaac was happy even with a slightly unusual looking football. I think his favorite gift was a music set from G-ma and g-pa layton. He and Mimi fight over who gets to play what instrument and Mommy tries to go to her "happy place" while they make beautiful music together.
